Hello! I'm Mallory. My family loves to eat nutritious plant-based foods to fuel our bodies for life’s adventures. I created the Earth Fed Family Ebook as a way to compile and share all of our favorite plant-based meals. We have been eating a plant-based diet for almost two years now and have loved it. I hope to show you how we make plant-based eating work in our family and with our little girls.
All the recipes in this book are or can be made 100% Vegan, Whole-Food, Plant-Based (WFPB), and Oil Free.
Whether you are trying to go 100% Vegan or WFPB or you just want to incorporate more plant-based meals into your life, I hope this book helps. I do my best to work with very simple ingredients and rely on the abundance and delight of fresh fruits and vegetables to make our meals delicious. Learn more here.
This cookbook is less about recipes and more about enjoying whole plant foods. I’ll share some thoughts about eating a WFPB diet as a family. You will learn how to help your kids and how to help yourself through this transition. I will also share some practical advice about preparing your kitchen and pantry to make delicious plant meals. At the core of the e-book I will walk you through some of our favorite meals and how we create them using the grain/starch/legume + vegetable + fruit + condiment formula. This book is an invitation to take a look into our kitchen, and then be creative in yours.
I've studied much about this way of eating and, perhaps more importantly, have experienced it as I have lived this way myself for the last three years. I have also completed the Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate Program through eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. This science-based program is taught by many renowned experts and offers a thorough study of the scientific evidence supporting a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle.
