32 WEEKS | BABY 2

How far along: 32 Weeks!

Baby size: 16.7 inches and 3.8 lbs. The size of a Bok Choy.

Maternity clothes: Just looking forward to my regular wardrobe again. Outfits on repeat and anything comfortable please.

Sleep: I actually think it is getting better in general. Maybe I am just resigned to the fact that I will most likely wake up every night and sometimes it will be harder to get back to sleep. I've accepted it and all is well.

Gender: Another girl for us!

Best moment this week: Deciding on a name. Well not 100% official or anything, but finding a name we both like and are in agreement on, and knowing that we can change if we want. It feels good to have a name though, to know that we won't end up just choosing something or having to make a last minute decision with one of the names we have talked about that was just okay.

Looking forward to: Having another little adventure buddy with us. When we go places with Kennedy and ask her what she likes, she always asks what we think the baby will like too. It will be fun to adventure with two little girls!

What I miss: My stomach not being sore. It's just tender and sore to the touch, or when baby girl wiggles all over the place. Luckily I love her little wiggles (and sometimes big wiggles).

Movement: I have felt a few times like this little one gets the hiccups on occasion. It is pretty funny. I don't remember that happening with Kennedy but I do remember people talking to me about it happening to them.

Food cravings: Can someone just make me dinner. And clean up my dishes. That's my craving. And Thai food. And this last week roasted veggie pasta with lemon and vegetable hummus panini sandwiches tasted so good. One our menu for this week is veggie sushi too, and I love our sushi.

Aversions: Eating too much, or rather a regular sized dinner, and then feeling so so full. I guess I need to be more mindful that there is not quite as much room inside anymore.

Nursery: We've purchased a few items for this baby, so I think she is set. This week I cleaned out a drawer for her and put in some baby clothes. They are so little and precious. It was so much fun and now she has a little space to herself.

Overall: I'm feeling good and doing good. I am so excited to have this baby in my arms, and know she will be here before we know it. The weeks fly by even if some days feel slow. I'm looking forward to spending most of the summer months as a family of four!

Miscellaneous: It is finally feeling more consistently like spring. I am loving the gorgeous weather and all the time we get to spend outside in our garden, at the park, going on walks, and just having more options for adventures. It helps the time go a little bit faster since we have a few more things we love to do together. Life is good.

A DAY IN OUR PLANT-BASED LIFE | MAY 2019

BREAKFAST | I've been experimenting with Acai bowls lately, so this morning I made a Berry-Banana one to share with the family. It was delicious.

LUNCH | Luckily today we had some delicious leftovers, Sweet Potato and Black Bean Taquitos. We heated them through and served them with a side of watermelon and it was delicious and so filling. We love leftovers at lunch!

DINNER | Tonight we enjoyed Vegetable Hummus Panini Sandwiches with a side of Smashed Rosemary Sweet Potatoes with Caramelized Onions. Mmm. Delicious.

DESSERT | And we were lucky enough to end the night with dessert, brownie date bites. They are so simple and so delicious.

May is bringing more fruit into our lives and onto our counters. I'm not complaining though. It is delicious. I also love being able to incorporate lighter meals, like vegetable sandwiches. They feel like spring to me and I love it!

Want to make these Acai bowls? Sweet Potato Taquitos? Hummus Panini Sandwiches, or Date Bites? Are you interested in adding more WFPB meals into your rotation. Maybe you want to go 100% WFPB or maybe you already are. Check out my cookbook, Earth Fed Family, for these 4 recipes plus 40 other WFPBNO and Vegan recipes. It includes all of our family's favorite meals to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Thanks for your support! I wish you the best in health and happiness as you incorporate more plant foods into your diet!

MY DAILY MEDITATION PRACTICE | APRIL 2019

In the month of April my mind was on planting a garden. The seeds of plants are tiny, but when placed in good soil and given the right conditions they bloom and grow into something beautiful. Like seeds, our thoughts are simply thoughts, tiny ideas in our mind, but as we think the same thoughts again and again, they grow to become our truths.

This month I wanted to work on planting thoughts that I desired to become truths. It ended up being a very grounding month. I didn't know going into it what would become of these thoughts, but generally I feel like they have laid a groundwork for me, to live my life in an atmosphere of peace, love, joy, stillness, flow, and gratitude.

APRIL 2019 | CULTIVATE NEW LIFE

MANTRA MEDITATION | I love and accept you Mallory.

AFFIRMATIONS | I am willing to change. I am willing to release all resistance. My day beings and ends with gratitude. Today I am at peace. Peace, love, joy, relaxation. I relax into the flow of life and let life flow through me with ease. I contribute to a united, loving and peaceful family life. In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. My life is a joy.

VISUALIZATION | Awake early with energy and gratitude. Be still and mindful. Acknowledge and care for my wonderful body. Flow through life with ease. Present parenting. Alignment before action. Connection to family, love at home. Gratitude for a beautiful day, well-lived. Deep restorative sleep.

SCRIPTURES | "The spirit and the body shall be reunited again in its perfect form." Alma 11:43
"Wherefore, whoso believers in God, might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, taketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast." Ether 12:4
