26 Weeks!

How far along: 26 Weeks!

Baby size: 9.2 inches long, 2 lbs (about the size of an larger eggplant)
Maternity clothes: Maternity jeans are the best, they are so comfy-although I really hate that they don't have pockets or belt loops.
Stretch marks: No but I do have some itchiness going on.
Sleep: I need a lot of sleep. I feel sleepy all the time. We went home this weekend and our bed was like a dream, I miss the comfort of a good bed.
Gender: A baby girl.
Best moment this week: I just feel really thankful that I am happy and healthy and strong during this pregnancy, and I pray things continue to go that way. This past week we moved apartments and even though I didn't participate in the heavy lifting I felt like I could help a lot and I was not just tired or a drag. It is so nice to still have energy and the capacity to do hard things.
Looking forward to: Crocheting and crafting for the little girl. It is so fun to try differing things.
What I miss: I kind of miss not feeling huge sometimes. I love my baby belly and think it is cute but some days when I see myself in the mirror I just feel gigantic and I get worried about how far I have to go and that I will only continue to grow.
Movement: Yep but it is less like random kicks and more like stretching out. It is a funny feeling.
Food cravings: Water. I am terrible at getting the amount of water I need, I need to work on that. Pretty much anything greasy or sweet or refreshing sounds good right about now. I really just crave going out to eat so I don't have to cook/do dishes.
Aversions: Nope. Although I ate some sweet potato chips this weekend and I still had a little bit of an aversion. But it was not as bad.
Nursery: We moved into our new apartment so it exists! It is currently filled with boxes, but it also has a carseat and stroller built by Daniel in it. It is going to be so nice to have an extra room for baby girl.
Miscellaneous: It was great to be back in Pittsburgh this week and having this new apartment really makes us feel like the next stage of our lives with baby girl is getting closer and closer. We stocked up on some diapers this weekend since they were on sale. Daniel put together the stroller and we figured out how to sort of use the carseat. For father's day I gave Daniel the board book "Sleepy Kittens" and told him to practice. I look forward to our next trip home and unpacking everything and settling in a little bit more.
